Valerie Friedman, RN, Director of Medical Affairs

Valerie Friedman graduated magnum cume laude from Molloy College in Rockville Centre, NY with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has over 30 years’ experience as a registered nurse, fifteen of which were in hospitals as a critical care nurse. She has also worked as a clinical instructor at BOCES. In 2012 she became the HPS Network’s Director of Medical Affairs and is a member of the HPS Network’s Scientific Advisory Board.  Valerie assists families as they seek to obtain an HPS diagnosis and works along with the other HPS Network staff to support and educate our families as they go through their journey of living with an HPS diagnosis.
