Becky Nieves joined the HPS Network Board of Directors in 2016. Her daughter was diagnosed with HPS in 2013 and she has been committed to her endeavors with the Network ever since including programs, member engagement, advocacy, and the conference planning committee.  Becky received a B.S. in Psychology from Stockton University. She has worked in both community corrections as well as in community mental health centers. As a special education parent, Becky has been active in her children’s schools going from PTA mom to a school board member and learning the ins and outs of the education system and politics.  When she is not advocating and volunteering, Becky is a dance and band mom and self-proclaimed book nerd. Becky works as the Program Manager of the HPS Network, working to fill in and launch new projects, currently working on our database, and as the social media coordinator. She has participated in several outreach efforts in the greater Philadelphia area. Becky lives in southern New Jersey with her husband, Ray, and four children.
